I don't often do this, but I'm going to now because I'm pissed.

Dear Asshole Social Conservative Fuckheads,

My sister is a wonderful person who loves her partner so much more than I've ever loved anyone outside my own flesh and blood. They are two terrific people who are giving more to the community, the nation, and the world than most of you bastards, not to mention the fact that they've been together for longer than most of you stay married before you get a divorce because one or other other of you is cheating. All they want to do is get married.

Honestly, I'm seriously considering sabotaging "traditional" marriage out of spite. I don't know quite how yet, but maybe I'll switch my predilections to doing nothing but fucking married guys and then telling their wives about it in salacious detail. Maybe I'll even go one further and start trying to seduce priests. My sister wouldn't do something like that because she's a good person who deserves to be treated like a person and not some hideous half-person with half-rights and half-acknowledgement. I, unfortunately for you, am not a good person. I am evil, right down to my core.

I don't know if I'm the marrying kind. I do know that my sister is. She'll stay out of your precious, holier-than-thou churches, she won't try to corrupt your children, but she'd like to be able to visit her partner in the hospital, to be able to file jointly, to be able to do all those stupid little things that you fuckheads take for granted because for most of you, marriage isn't a privilege, it's a burden foisted upon you by your own mistakes or your God-imposed need to continue overpopulating the planet with your idiot spawn.

In conclusion, fuck you and the horse you rode in on, and don't think that just because most gay people are better than you that there aren't some people who will stoop to below your level and give you something to really feel persecuted about.
